Come and join us for an eight week deep dive into core recovery and functional strength! This is Pilates specifically for the needs of your very incredible postpartum Motherbody!
Motherbody Pilates will help you bridge the gap between the early postpartum recovery period with no core rehab and feeling a bit tight but squishy at the same time. And return to exercise or 'back to normal' daily activities and feeling connected and strong in your body again.
This class is all about tending to and caring for your Mamabody from the inside out so that you feel stronger, more confident, and much more coordinated in your body. There will be a bit of education around how your pelvic floor and core system coordinates. And we’ll practice exercises during class that you can also take away to do at home when you have time. We’ll cover - Breathing. Deep core, pelvic floor and low abdominals. Alignment. Glutes. Upper back. Integrated strength. Functional movement for Motherhood.
Motherbody Pilates offers a slow build of education and strength to support ongoing movement health for your body.
This is a baby free class. It’s ideal if you want to do a class without caring for your baby at the same time, or for after your baby is crawling and you’re no longer able to easily join the mums and bubs classes.
This class is also open to mums of older children - because postpartum is forever! So whether you gave birth recently, or had your baby years ago, if you’ve never done much core rehabilitation this class is made for you! And it’s particularly for you if you’re managing ongoing aches, pains or injuries such as a sore low back, tight hips, neck, or shoulders, a bit of leaking, pelvic girdle pain, ab separation, or pelvic organ prolapse.
Motherbody Pilates is for mums who want to build whole body core strength safely and effectively for Motherhood.
Taught by Sophie Jeffries, experienced Pilates Instructor and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, Postpartum Doula, Shiatsu Therapist and mother of two littles.
